The island's top native bred 3 year old filly She’s A Maneater has gotten an inside post position for Saturday's final leg of the local Triple Crown series at Caymanas Park.
The Derby and 1000 Guineas winner with customary jockey Omar Walker, will break from post position 2 in the 91st running of the $4 million Jamaica St Leger over 10 furlongs.
She’s A Maneater will be aiming to become only the third filly to land the Triple Crown at Caymanas Park, following similar achievements by Simply Magic in 2002 and Alsafra in 2008.
If she prevails in Saturday's final jewel, she would also become the 17th Triple Crown winner in the history of local racing and the first since Mark My Word in 2010.
Derby runner-up Sotomayor with top apprentice Linton Steadman, has drawn post position 3 while 2000 Guineas winner Fearless Samurai to be partnered by Orlando Foster, will start from gate number 11 and Market Force who was fourth in the Derby with Shane Ellis from gate 9.
The 12-horse field is completed by Proud of Nuclear, Rising Bop, Silence, Uncle Vinnie, Great Faith, Paper Chaser and Thornhill Miss. The St Leger will be run at approximately 5:15 pm on Saturday.
