Will In Charge will be ridden by Robert Halledeen. 2016 winner and last year's runner-up Bigdaddykool who is rounding into form, will break from gate three with Linton Steadman and Anthony Nunes who conditions the 5 year old bay horse is not putting too much emphasis on the post positions but is pinning his main hopes on the 2016 winner.

The small field of six is completed by Drummer Boy with Phillip Parchment in gate 2; the third Wayne DaCosta entrant Perfect Neighbour with leading jockey Anthony Thomas in gate 5 and Nunes' other charge Sotomayor with title-chasing jockey Dick Cardenas in gate 6.
