The draw for the prestigious event was held at Caymanas Park on Wednesday afternoon.
Like it was a year ago, Wayne Dacosta's super talented filly She's A Maneater" will again break from post position number 1 for Saturday's 40th running of the Burger King Superstakes over 10 furlongs at Caymanas Park. The 4 year old bay filly will be ridden by customary jockey Omar Walker. The vastly improved Will In Charge who has beaten She's A Maneater twice this season, has drawn post position 4 and his trainer Robert Pearson says apart from the post position, jockey tactics will also play a crucial role in the outcome.
Will In Charge will be ridden by Robert Halledeen. 2016 winner and last year's runner-up Bigdaddykool who is rounding into form, will break from gate three with Linton Steadman and Anthony Nunes who conditions the 5 year old bay horse is not putting too much emphasis on the post positions but is pinning his main hopes on the 2016 winner.
The small field of six is completed by Drummer Boy with Phillip Parchment in gate 2; the third Wayne DaCosta entrant Perfect Neighbour with leading jockey Anthony Thomas in gate 5 and Nunes' other charge Sotomayor with title-chasing jockey Dick Cardenas in gate 6.
The 31st running of the Caribbean Sprint Championship over 6 furlongs will also be contested on Saturday with last year's winner Chace The Great with Dane Nelson; the exciting 3 year old Patriarch with Dick Cardenas and the bang in form Money Magnet to be ridden by Shane Ellis, headlining the 10-horse field.
11 runners including last year's winner Houdini's Magic to be ridden by Shane Ellis; Jamaica Oaks winner Fayrouz with Dick Cardenas and the exciting Hillay's Halo with 3-time former champion jockey Dane Nelson, will face the starter in the 5th running of the Invitational Mile.
