She's A Maneater plunders opposition to win Diamond Mile

Commentary by Track Announcer Brian Rickman

Triple Crown and Superstakes winner She’s A Maneater added the Diamond Mile to her list of 2017 successes when she romped home in the third running of the $14.2 million race at Caymanas Park on Saturday. The 3 year old bay filly who went off as the 1-2 favourite under 3-time former champion jockey Dane Nelson for 16-time champion trainer Wayne DaCosta, romped home by six-and-half lengths in 1:36.4, a mere two-fifths of a second outside the stakes record set by her stable companion Seeking My Dream who won the first two editions of the Diamond Mile.

Bigdaddykool, Houdini’s Magic and Chace The Great completed the frame. Both Nelson and DaCosta had four wins each on the 14-race programme.
