Former West Indies batsman Shivnarine Chanderpaul has questioned the regional selectors decision not to select Jamaica's Chadwick Walton and Jermaine Blackwood for their recent three match One Day International series against England.
Chanderpaul who last played for the West Indies in 2015, argues that based on the two players performances during the regional Super50 tournament they should have been included in the squad for the three match series.
“I’ve watched these two guys in the Super 50 and Chadwick against England in the Vice Chancellor’s game and he’s doing well; his batting has come on and he should be given a chance. Blackwood can come in the middle because of experience to help hold the team together,” said the veteran batsman. Chanderpaul also commented on the current West Indies squad.
“They are going to grow because they are still young and they are going to get better,” said Chanderpaul.
