Smith scores half century for Windies on day 2 of second test in St Lucia

The West Indies reached 118-2 at stumps at the end of Friday’s second day two of the second test against Sri Lanka at the Darren Sammy Stadium in St Lucia. With the day badly affected by rain, only 42 and a half overs were bowled on the day which saw Devon Smith top-scoring for the Caribbean side with 53 not out.

Kraig Brathwaite and Kieron Powell were the only wickets to fall on the day as they were dismissed for 22 and 27 respectively. The Windies trail by 135 runs and hold a 1-0 lead in their three match test series.
