St Andrew Strikers maintain winning streak in National Hockey League

A hat-trick from Demi Nicholson led St Andrew Strikers to their third straight win, with a 5-1 spanking of Tropics in women’s action from the National Hockey League on Sunday.

Nicholson scored in the 13th, 23rd, and 34th minutes, while Chantal Russell and Ebony McLean added their names to the score-sheet in the 22nd and 50th minutes respectively. Patrice Clarke got Tropics’ consolation in the 49th minute. 

The win sees the Strikers remaining atop the table with maximum 9 points from three games. In the men's league, UWI Pelicans continue to lead the table with seven points after playing out a 2-2 draw with the JDF who are third also on seven points.
