Four time and defending champions Jamaica College have been beaten to the race to top their first round group of the ISSA Flow Manning Cup for the first time since their winning run began back in 2013. This follows St Andrew Technical’s 2-0 win over Donald Quarrie on Monday to secure Group 'B' honours.
Elsewhere, Wolmer's Boys topped Group ‘A’ on 25 points with a 1-0 win over Tivoli Gardens in a top-of-the- table clash at Heroes’ Circle. Calabar topped Group ‘G’ ahead of Charlie Smith after smashing Campion College 10-0.
Charlie Smith advanced to the second round alongside Calabar after defeating Eltham 3-2 at the Tony Spaulding Sports Complex. In other matches, Kingston College capped off the first round with another goal spree, whipping Greater Portmore 6-0 while Clan Carthy progressed from Group ‘F’ after finishing second with a 2-0 win over Ascot.
Meanwhile, in the ISSA Flow DaCosta Cup, in Zone ‘o’ Morant Bay trounced Yallahs 7- 1 with Romario Murray netting a brace.
