STETHS crush Brimmervale as D/Cup second round kicks off

Five time champions St Elizabeth Technical were in rampant mood beating Brimmervale 5-1 as the second round action in the ISSA Rural Area DaCosta Cup Competition kicked off on Wednesday. In other matches, Lennon High scored a come from behind 2-1 win over bb coke.

Jason Dyce put bb coke in front two minutes after the resumption but Lennon got back on level terms two minutes later through an own goal from Raheem Brown in minute 49. Kyla Wilson ensured all three points for the Mocho-based Lennon when he struck in the 71st minute.

Happy Grove  and Garvey Maceo were also 2-1 winners over Annotto Bay and Spalding respectively. Elsewhere, on the day, Mcgrath High clipped Rusea’s High 1-0 while Denbigh and Port Antonio played to goalless draw.

Second round action continues with eight more matches on Thursday including the Vere Technical versus Frome encounter at the Juici Field, a game to be carried live on TVJ and Hitz 92 FM, starting at 3:05 pm.
