Steve Waugh warns Windies could be dangerous at World Cup

Australian cricket legend Steve Waugh has described the West Indies are the most watchable side in this year's ICC Cricket World Cup and every team will be wary of facing them. According to Waugh, the West Indies possess a squad full of match winners that can dominate if they gain any sense of ascendancy in a match.

Additonally, he says "they are the most watchable team in the tournament with a batting line-up that can kidnap any bowling attack with brute force. Writiing an article for the ICC, Waugh said the West Indies are the type of team that if they get on a roll and build a momentum, they could win it all like the ICC Men's World T20 back in 2016. However, he noted that the West Indies are vulnerable against high-quality bowling as they tend to play one dimensional at times and can lack mobility in the field.

The West Indies will face Australia on Thursday in their second match of the tournament. Both teams recorded easy 7 wicket victories over Pakistan and Afghanistan respectively in their opening matches.
