Strong Reggae Girls squad named for Pan Am Games

A strong Reggae Girlz team will represent Jamaica at this month's Pan American Games. The Games are being held outside of the FIFA dates, which means several professional players have not been released by their clubs. However, the squad retains 11 of the players who were either part of the World Cup campaign or last month's tournament.

The University of Florida's Rachel Smith earns a first time call-up but all the other players have been involved in either the senior or youth level for Jamaica. The squad will stage a training camp in Jamaica from July 19-23.

The full squad reads: Sydney Schneider, Yazmeen Jamieson, Deneisha Blackwood, Jody Brown Olufolasade Adamolekun, Jadyn Matthews, Sashana Campbell, Tarania Clarke, Chyanne Dennis, Madiya Harriott, Jayda Pelaia-Hylton, Mireya Grey, Toriana Patterson, Chanel Hudson-Marks, Chantelle Swaby, Shayla Smart, Konya Plummer and Rachel Smith. The Pan Am Games will be held in Lima, Peru from July 26 to August 11.
