Sunshine Girls goal-shooter Shimona Nelson was named Most Valueable Player following the Collingwood Magpies' victory against the Melbourne Vixens in the inaugural Suncorp Grand final on Sunday. The Magpies, team of Nelson, defeated the Vixens by 6 goals, ending 39-33 in the pre-season tournmanent.
Nelson ended with 35 goals which saw her walking away with top honours. Another Sunshine Girls representative, Kadian Dehaney suited up for the losing team, the Melbourne Vixens.
