Reggae Boyz defender Kemar 'Taxi' Lawrence has reportedly requested a trade from the New York Red Bulls in US Major League Soccer (MLS). The 27 year old who is one of the longest serving players at the club, has grown unhappy after the red bulls rejected a request for an improved contract.
Although he signed a new deal in 2018 which made him the highest-paid defender on the team with US $338,000 in earnings last season, two of his teammates got new contracts which overtook him in earnings. Reports also state that other left backs in the league without Lawrence's credentials, gained new contracts
His current contract expires in 2021. Lawrence who was named to the MLS All Star team this year and the best MLS X1 in 2018, has made over 120 appearances since joining the New York franchise in 2015.
