The Axeman to fight for WBA Featherweight title

Nicholas "the Axeman" Walters is scheduled to fight for the world boxing association featherweight title in December, according to general secretary of the Jamaica boxing board of control, Leroy Brown.

Brown says the fight which will see Walters facing Panamanian title holder Celestino Caballero came about after Mexican company, Canelo promotions, won the purse bid at the minimum of US$120,000 for the contest to take place in Jamaica in December.

According to brown, Caballero has been offered 75 per cent of the purse, which amounts to US$ 90,000 while Walters is set to collect US$30,000.
