The 'Magic Man' crushes 'Concrete' to reach Contender Series final

It will be a Jamaica/Canada final in the Wray and Nephew Contender Boxing Series as Canada's Ricardo Salas recorded a sensational knockout victory over Devon ‘Concrete’ Moncriffe in the last semi-final on Wednesday night at the Chinese Benevolent Association headquarters.

Salas who defeated Moncriffe in a similar manner last October floored the Jamaican twice in the opening round, with the fight lasting only 2 minutes and 15 seconds. The 19 year old Mexican-born fighter says he was prepared for what the Jamaican would come with.

Salas will now face two-time beaten finalist, Jamaican Richard ‘Frog’ Holmes in the championship decider on July 25 at the National Indoor Sports Centre.
