Jamaica copped its third medal at the 2017 Youth Para Pan American Games, now taking place in Sao Paulo, when Jason Brown won bronze in the men's Under-19 T12 400 metres. Jamaica Paralympic Association president Christopher Samuda has labelled the accomplishment a remarkable one.
Brown started training as a para athlete less than six months and now has two medals after he won a bronze medal in the T12 100 metres on Monday. Tevaughn Thomas won silver on Monday in the T46/47 100 metres.
The closing ceremony of the Games will be on Saturday evening and the team is scheduled to return to Jamaica next Monday.
