Seven Jamaicans are down to compete at the Monaco Diamond League meet on Thursday. National champion Elaine Thompson will line up in the women's 100m alongside the likes of world leader Marie Josee- Talou, Talou's countrywoman Murielle Ahoure and Dafne Schippers.
Olympic bronze medallist Hansle Parchment will be in the men's 110m hurldes, facing competition from record holder Aries Merritt and 2015 world champion Sergey Shubenkov. Yanique Thompson and Shimayra Williams will face off in the women's 100 metres against 2008 Olympic champion Dawn Harper-Nelson.
Commonwealth bronze medallist Natoya Goule is set for the women's 800m against Gold Coast gold and silver medallists, respectively, Castor Semenya and Margaret Wambui. Commonwealth gold medallist Aisha Praught-Leer takes on runner-up Celliphine Chespol in the women's 3,000 metres steeplechase.
Commonwealth Games champion Danniel Thomas-Dodd will be up against Olympic champion Valrie Adams and reigning world champion Lijiao Gong in the women's shot put.
