Double Olympic sprint champion Elaine Thompson headlines 12 Jamaicans down to compete at the Birmingham Diamond League meet on Sunday in England. Thompson who was 5th at the recent World Athletics Championships in London, is slated to contest the 100 meters along with compatriots Christania Williams, Natasha Morrison, Jura Levy and Schillonie Calvert.
World Championship silver and bronze medallists Marie Josee Talou of the Ivory Coast and Dutch woman Dafne Schippers are also down to compete in the event which will feature heats and final.
World champs bronze medallist Ristanna Tracey will line up in the women's 400 metre hurdles along with countrywoman Janieve Russell.
Another Diamond Trophy leader Novlene Williams-Mills will contest the women's 400 metres along with fellow Jamaicans and World Champs finalist Shericka Jackson and Chris-Ann Gordon. World Championships finalists Shanieka Ricketts and Kimberly Williams will compete in the women's triple jump.
