Olympic champion Elaine Thompson sped to victory in the women's 200 meters at the Nanjing World Challenge Meet in china on Tuesday. Thompson clocked 22.40 seconds to win the half lap event. Another Olympic champion, Omar McLeod posted 13.28 for a narrow close second place finish in the men's sprint hurdles. The event was won by Spain's Orlando Ortega in 13.27.
Reigning national champion Tyquendo Tracey with 10.23 seconds, was 5th in the men's 100 meters which was won by veteran American Mike Rodgers in 10.09. Tajay Gayle had won the men's long jump on Monday with a best effort of 8.21 metres, while Danielle Thomas-Dodd was second in the women's shot put with 19.21 metres.
