Three Jamaican winners at Italian athletics meet

Elaine Thompson, Jamaica's newest female sprint sensation, was among three Jamaican winners at an international athletics meet in Lignano, Italy on Tuesday.       

Thompson posted 11.11 seconds (into a -1.2 metres per second wind) to win the women's 100 meters ahead of compatriots and MVP club mates Natasha Morrison, who was second in 11.32, and Christania Williams, 4th in 11.70

Julian Forte also won the men's equivalent, clocking 10.18 to win the overall event.

Forte's MVP teammate Andrew Fisher, who also won his heat in 10.21, was 2nd overall while Tyquendo Tracey was 6th overall in 10.43. 

Rusheen McDonald, another MVP athlete, was also a winner, clocking 45.61 to win the men's 400 metres.
