Triple Crown winner returns with a bang

Commentary by Track Announcer Brian Rickman

Triple Crown winner She's A Maneater made a triumphant return to the track with a comfortable victory in Saturday's feature event, the Fontainbleau Trophy, an Open Allowance contest over 7-and-a-half-furlongs at Caymanas Park. The Wayne DaCosta-conditioned 3 year old bay filly  was made the 1-5 favourite in the field of 10.

She was held off the early fractions disputed by Dwayne Star and Orpheus. However, with 4 furlongs to go, 5-time champion jockey Omar Walker asked She's A Maneater for an effort and she gobbled up the opposition coming off the final bend.

She's A Maneater came home in 1:30.3 to win by 3-and-a-quarter lengths as Another Bullet, Dwayne Star and Orpheus completed the frame.

2011 champion jockey Dick Cardenas landed a triple on the 11-race card while there was a double for trainer Patrick ‘Wacky’ Lynch. Racing continues next Saturday featuring the first leg of the Supreme Ventures 2 Year Old Series.
