UWI FC breaks losing streak in RSPL

UWI FC broke a six game losing streak as they brushed aside Arnett Gardens 3-1 at the Mona Bowl on Thursday.

Patrick Brown gave the hosts the lead after 38 minutes. Kemaal Malcolm equalized for Arnett Gardens a minute later to ensure both teams went into the half-time break all square. On the resumption, UWI again went in front through a strike from Patrick Heaven.

The three points were then made safe when Fabian McCarthy got UWI's third. And host team Humble Lion held league leaders Portmore United to a 1-1 draw at the Effortville  Community Centre. Chevaney Willis was once again on the scoresheet for Portmore to give them a first half lead.

However, former Portmore United midfielder Michael Binns equalised for the Clarendon-based team. The game between Mount Pleasant Football Academy and FC Reno at the Frome Complex ended goalless.
