UWI FC go five points clear atop RSPL table

UWI FC are five points clear at the top of the Red Stripe Premier League table following their 2-1 win over Arnett Gardens in the second game of the Monday night double header at the National Stadium.

Deno Schaffe and Patrick Brown were on target for UWI in the 35th and 45th minutes respectively while substitute Kemal Malcolm pulled one back for Arnett three minutes from time. UWI ended the game with 10 players as Keammar Daley was sent off in time added.

Meanwhile, a double strike by the inform Jermaine ‘Teddy’ Johnson guided Tivoli Gardens to a 2-0 win over relegation-threatened Waterhouse in the opening contest at the National Stadium.

UWI FC are now on 57 points, followed by Tivoli Gardens 52, Humble Lion on 50, Montego Bay United 50, Portmore United 44 and Arnett Gardens on 41 points completing the top six.
