Courtney Walshs' time as interim head coach of the Bangladesh cricket team could be over by the end of the week, as the Bangladesh Cricket Board has identified former English cricketer Steve Rhodes to lead the team heading into the Cricket World Cup next year. The 53 year old Rhodes will be in charge for all three formats of the sport.
CEO of the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) Nizzamudin Chowdery says Rhodes was the number one candidate because of his knowledge and expertise with English conditions. The BCB have not stated if Walsh will continue as the fast bowling coach as Rhodes may want to bring in his own support staff. Bangladesh's best performance in the Cricket World Cup was a quarter finals appearance in 2015.
