Defending champions Waterhouse were unable to start their campaign with a win after being held to a 1-1 draw by Olympic Gardens on Saturday at Drewsland in the start of the JFF Women's Premier League. Stephanie Morgan put Olympic in front in the 12th minute but Jessica Johnson equalized for Waterhouse 8 minutes later.
However, the Drewsland girls couldn't find the winner so both teams had to settle for a point. In the first game of the double header, Cavalier had a comfortable 3-0 win over debutants Frazier’s Whip. Rana Gordon found the net twice in the 32nd and 33rd minutes before Gwen Gregory sealed the victory in the 78th minute.
Royal Lakes reigstered a 2-0 win over Trelawny at the Royal Lakes Complex. Keneshia Ferron opened the scoring for Royal Lakes in the 55th minute but Danielle Cummings equalized for Trelawny in the 70th minute. But Ferron returned in the 73rd minute to give Royal Lakes all 3 points.
