West Indians looking to extend lead over Afghans in tour match

The West Indians will look to add to their lead when play resumes on the third and penultimate day of their tour game against the Afghanistan Cricket B X1 in Lucknow, India on Friday. The Caribbean side managed to secure a 10 run first innings lead on day two after dismissing the ACB X1 for 158 in response to the 168 all out they made on the opening day.

The ACB X1 resumed at 49-3 with Javed Amadi not out on 29. Amadi pushed on to top score with 56 as the ACB X1 got dismissed for 158. Left-arm spinner Jomel Warrican bagged 5-38 while Rahkeem Cornwall claimed 4- 54.

The Caribbean men in their second innings reached stumps at 217-7 a lead of 227 runs. Sunil Ambris 66 and Roston Chase 57 are the top scorers so far. Jamaican John Campbell made 17.
