West Indies into Youth World Cup semis

The West Indies Under-19 cricketers are through to the semi finals of the ICC Youth World Cup in Bangladesh following a five wicket win over Pakistan in their quarter final in Fatullah on Sunday night.

Pakistan batted first and posted 225-6 from their 50 overs with Umair Masood making 118 and Salman Fayyaz 58 against Chemar Holder 2-26.

The Caribbean side in reply got their target at 229-5 with 10 overs to spare as Tevin Imlach 54, skipper Shimron Hetmyer 52 and Shamar Springer 37 were the top scorers.

The West Indies will now go on to meet host Bangladesh in the semi finals.
