West Indies seek series clinching win

West Indies coach Ottis Gibson, is hoping that the team’s three pacemen will find the Kensington Oval pitch to their liking as the Caribbean team chase a series victory over New Zealand in the 3rd and final test starting Thursday.

The West Indies seamers found life difficult on a flat pitch at Sabina Park, where the home team lost by 186 runs inside four days, and also struggled on a similar pitch at Queen’s Park Oval last week,  although they eventually won by 10 wickets.

Gibson said the victory had given the Windies some momentum, adding that a pacy pitch would provide the ideal conditions for his attack to flourish.

Jerome Taylor and Kemar Roach,  have taken ten and seven wickets respectively in the series so far while Shannon Gabriel, who missed the first test, picked up two wickets in each innings of the Trinidad & Tobago test.
