West Indies women defeated Sri Lanka's women by 31 runs to score a come from behind 2-1 series win in Colombo on Wednesday, to win the ICC Championship series.
West Indies women were dismissed for 156 off 47.3 overs with 23-year-old Trinidadian Brittany Cooper topscoring with 46 and Hayley Matthews 24. Stafanie Taylor made 8 and Deandra Dottin 13.
But Taylor with 1-25, Mattthews 3-7 and two wickets each for Anisa Mohammed and Tremaine Smartt helped the Windies women dismiss Sri Lanka's women for 125.
The Windies win the ICC series 2-1, but won the overall series 3-1.
With the victory, The Windies women move up to 3rd in the ICC ODI standings with 10 points, behind South Africa 11 and leaders Australia 12.
