Windies 'A' face uphill battle against Sri Lanka 'A'

The West Indies ‘A’ will have to fight hard on the final day to avoid defeat against Sr Lanka ‘A’ in their third unofficial four day test in Dambulla. The West Indies ‘A’ lower order capitulated on day three, leaving Sri Lanka in control. Having resumed at 183-4, the Caribbeanside fell to 243 all out.

Captain Shamarh Brooks added 11 to his overnight score to make 54 to add to Shimron Hetmyer’s 94 from day two.

Kasun Madushanka 3-45 and Lakshan Sandakan 3-54 were  the pick of the bowlers for Sri Lanka ‘A’ who closed their second innings on 211-5, an overall lead of 286. Asale Gunaratne led with 69 against Rahkeem Cornwall's 4-62.

Scores so far: Sri Lanka ‘A’ - 318 & 211-5, West Indies ‘A’ 243.
