Windies lose first ODI against Bangladesh

Rovman Powell's first ball bowled as captain for the West Indies One Day International team claimed a wicket but the West Indies still went down by 5 wickets to Bangladesh in their first match of a three game series in Dhaka.
Powell called right at the toss and elected to bat but the Windies failed to spark and were restricted to 195-9 from their 50 overs.

Shai Hope 43, Keemo Paul 36 and Roston Chase 32 were the top scorers for the Windies. Mustafizur Rahman and Man-of-the-Match Mashrafe Mortaza claimed three wickets each. In reply, Bangladesh cruised to victory at 196-5 in 35.1 overs. Mushfiqur Rahim was left not out on 55 and Liton Das 41, led the Bagladeshi fight with Roston chase, taking 2-47 for the Caribbean side. The second of three games will be played on Tuesday morning Jamaica time.
