Windies lose T20 series to Pakistan

Although putting on a better display, the West Indies still went down by 16 runs to Pakistan in the second T-20 International in Dubai on Saturday. Chasing 161 to win, the world champions were restricted to 144-9.

Sunil Narine top-scored with 30 while Andre Fletcher made 29 against Sohail Tanvir 3-18 and Hasan Ali 3-49. 

Earlier, Pakistan who were sent to bat, posted 160-4. Sarfraz Ahmed made 46,  Khalid Latif 40 and Shoaib Malik 37.

Samuel Badree, Dwayne Bravo and Carlos Brathwaite took a wicket each.

“In hindsight 150 would have been more manageable but at half-time I thought they were ten runs short. If we had batted a little better in the first six to eight overs but we just didn’t come to the party and didn’t execute,” said West Indies captain Carlos Brathwaite. With the win, Pakistan took an unbeatable 2-0 lead in the three match series.
