Windies staring down the barrel against Bangladesh

The West indies crumbled against the Bangladeshi spin ending day 2 of their second test in Mirpur at 75-5, still 433 runs behind hosts, who made 508 in their first innings. Starting the day on 259-5, the Tigers piled on the runs as Mahmudullah scored his third ton and second in three matches.

Mahmadullah ended up making 136 before being bowled by Jomel Warrican as captain Shakib al Hasan with 80 also added to Shadman Islam's opening day 76. It was the first time for Bangladesh that all eleven batsmen got into double figures.

There were two wickets apiece for Kemar Roach, Warrican, Devendra Bishoo and Kraigg Brathwaite with Shermon Lewis and Roston Chase getting the other wickets. The Windies had a poor start in their reply and saw half the side was back in the pavillion with just 29 runs on the board, with all of them being bowled.

Shimron Hetmeyer 32 not out and Shane Dowrich 17 not out then steered the Caribbean side to the close at 75-5.
The Windies trail the two match series 1-0. Day 2 bowls off at 10:30 Saturday night Jamaica time.
