In somewhat of an irony, the West Indies will face seasoned internationals Darren Bravo, Lendl Simmons, Sunil Narine and Samuel Badree in a Trinidad and Tobago Red Force squad in a 50- over practice match on June 20 as they prepare for their crucial upcoming One Day International (ODI) series against India starting on June 23.
The Red Force squad will also include the experienced Rayad Emritt and Kevon Cooper as well as young rising players Amir Jangoo and Yannic Cariah and will be captained by Marlon Richards. Bravo, Simmons, Narine and Badree are not expected to be a part of the West Indies team to face India.
The West Indies will be using the match as part of their preparation for the upcoming five match ODI series against India starting on June 23 at the Queen’s Park Oval in Port of Spain Trinidad. The 4th and 5th matches will be held at Sabina Park on July 6 and 9.
