Windies win warm-up game ahead of tri-nation series

The West Indies recorded a 92 run victory over Barbados Pride in their practice game at the Three Ws Oval in Barbados on Tuesday as they warm-up for next month’s tri-nation series against hosts Ireland and Bangladesh. Darren Bravo top-scored with 64 and fellow left-hander Raymon Reifer 62, as the West Indians tallied 326-7 off 50 overs, batting first.

Roston Chase struck 36, while Sunil Ambris and Jonathan Carter added 33 apiece. John Campbell, who made his ODI debut earlier this year against England, made 28 off 31 balls in a 49-run opening stand with the uncapped Shane Dowrich. In reply, Pride wicketkeeper/batsman Tevyn Walcott top-scored with 69 of 78 balls and captain Shamarh Brooks made 31 as they were dismissed for 234 runs. Left-arm fast bowler Sheldon Cottrell took 3-41 while Shannon Gabriel grabbed 3-45 to set-up the victory.
