Windies women lose second ODI to New Zealand

The West Indies women will only have pride to play for in their final One Day International against New Zealand after losing their second match of the series by 8 wickets in Lincoln on Thursday. Batting first, the Caribbean ladies posted 194 all out with captain, Jamaican Stafanie Taylor top- scoring with 86 while another Jamaican, Chedean Nation was next best with 35.

Leigh Kasperek was the most effective bowler for New Zealand taking 4-44 while Lea Tahuhu claimed 3-42. In reply the hosts cruised to victory at 195-2 with player of the game Suzi Bates getting 101 and Sophie Devine 80. The three match series forms part of the Women’s Championship. The final game will be played on Saturday night Jamaica time.
