Former champions Wolmer's have secured the runner-up spot in Group "E" of the ISSA Manning Cup after playing out a 2-2 draw away to Vauxhall on Friday. Friday's contest which lasted 85 minutes, was actually a continuation of the return leg match which was aborted on October 5 after just five minutes due to rain and lightning.
Many time former champions Jamaica College finished on top of the group with 32 points, four more than Wolmer's with Vauxhall finishing third on 23 points, as all three have now advanced to the second round.
Meanwhile, Hydel have received full points from their unplayed Group "D" game against St Mary's College on September 7 as St Mary's College were deemed to have turned up unprepared for the contest.
As a result, Hydel secured their place in the second round as runner-up in the group on 25 points, 11 behind winners Camperdown, while Mona High who ended third on 24 points, also made progress to the second round.
Action continues on Saturday with return leg matches in the second round.
