Young Reggae Boyz into final round of CFU WC qualifiers

The Jamaica Under-17 team thrashed host nation US Virgin Islands 9-0 on Tuesday to secure their spot in the final round of the CFU World Cup qualifiers. There were two goals each for Chad Letts and Thriston Briscoe.

The young Reggae Boyz  who only needed a draw to qualify, extended their point tally at the summit of the table on nine points having previously beaten Guyana and Antigua and Barbuda.

Jamaica ended with a tally of 16 goals in three games while they conceded two. They finished three points ahead of second placed Antigua and Barbuda who beat Guyana 3-0.

The next round of qualifiers will take place in Trinidad and Tobago in September.
