Jamaica's Under 21 Sunshine Girls semi-final hopes were dashed after being thumped 55-38 by England in the quarter-finals of the Netball Youth World Cup in Botswana on Thursday.
The Janet Guy-coached team started the game well as they only trailed England by two goals in the first quarter which ended 10-8. However, the English girls closed the first half strongly as they led 26-17.
The English momentum continued as they dominated the third quarter 41-28 then outscored the Sunshine Girls 14-10 in the 4th quarter. Jamaica will now play Scotland on Friday while South Africa will play Uganda to decide who will place 5th to 8th.
