Buju Banton's Trial

Internationally acclaimed Reggae star, Buju Banton was arrested in December 2009 on a charge of conspiring to buy cocaine from an undercover law enforcement officer. After more than six months in prison, Banton, 36, whose real name is Mark Myrie has appeared in a Tampa, Florida court on trail for the illegal attempt to purchase drugs. His trial ended in September with a hung jury. Banton has maintained his innocence and rejected a plea bargain deal, offered to him by prosecutors.
