Adele takes top Grammy honours

British singer Adele stole Sunday night's Grammy Awards.
    
The singer who was nominated in five categories, walked away with all wins including the coveted Song of the Year and Album of the Year.
    
She opened the show with the chart topper 'Hello' and had tongues wagging when she stopped midway her tribute to George Michael and re-did the song.
    
Beyonce, making her first appearance since announcing her pregnancy, was also a major highlight on the show. She got a standing ovation for her angelic performance and ended the night with two wins.
    
Chance the Rapper also made history by becoming the first black rapper to win Best New Artiste since Lauryn Hill in 1999.
    
In all, he won three awards and performed a spirited and energetic set.
    
Other winners included Drake and Solange Knowles.
    
Bruno Mars also received praise for his performance of his single 'That's What I Like' and part of the Prince tribute.
