Francophone Film Festival returns

Cinema-lovers are in for thrills, chills and laughter as the Francophone Film Festival returns this year.

The film festival starts Wednesday, November 14 and ends on Saturday, November 24.

In a celebration of French storytelling, the festival serves up an exciting variety of classic and contemporary French language films, ensuring that everyone will find a movie they can relate to.

Screenings will be held at a number of locations including the Multifunctional Room at the University of the West Indies, The University of Technology (UTech) and Campion College.

A total of eight films will be shown over the two week period.

Films to be shown will come from France, Belgium, and Burkino Faso, and are a mix of comedy, drama, adventure and documentaries.

All will have English subtitles.

A Youth Film Festival will also be held with JAFT (Jamaican Association of French Teachers) on November 20 at the Institute of Jamaica and on November 22, in collaboration with the University of Technology International Film Festival.

The latter is specifically aimed at CAPE and university students and will be shown on the UTech campus.
