R. Kelly
R&B singer R. Kelly missed his court appearance in Chicago on Wednesday reportedly due to a toe infection.
His lawyer told a federal judge that Kelly's toenails had to be removed as treatment and he worried someone might trample on them as he was escorted to and from court.
Kelly is detained at a jail two blocks from the courthouse.
During the five-minute hearing, the judge ruled to dismiss some charges and reconsider bond for the 52 year old.
Kelly has pleaded not guilty to federal charges against him in Chicago and New York, where he is accused of a racketeering scheme to sexually abuse girls.
Kelly's next hearing is set for February 13.
