BoJ losses continue

Bank of Jamaica (BoJ) losses continue to soar.

The nation's Central Bank report that at the close of business on August 25, losses on its books stood at more than $11.3 billion.

The losses could potentially become a strain to tax payers, since they are to be funded by the Government.

When profits are earned by the Bank of Jamaica they are payable to the Government.

The BoJ is projected to continue to sustain losses on its operations for the rest of this fiscal year.
