Another warning has come that car prices are going up.
This is according to the Jamaica Used Car Dealers Association in the wake of the latest Consumer Confidence Survey showing more Jamaicans are planning to purchase a motor vehicle in coming months.
President of the Association, Lynvale Hamilton, reacted to the results of the survey while stating that buyers should be prepared to fork out more.
“I’m not at all surprised, but the reality is that cars are going to get more expensive based on the inspection procress implemented in Februrary. We are purchasing higher quality cars and the trickle down effect has not been felt yet. But this is going to come. So despite the fact that the consumer intends to purchase cars ….but depending on what they are going to purchase, it might be a challenge,” Hamilton said.
