Fiesta Resorts is to be the first hotel group to invest in a casino gaming integrated resort in Jamaica.
An announcement is expected in the next few days, but the Government of Jamaica all but disclosed the development, in regulatory filings to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
In the filing, the Jamaican Government said Fiesta Resort will expand its Grand Lady Palladium Hotel by 800 rooms to accommodate casino gaming.
The development, expected to be done at a cost of J$20 billion, is awaiting finalisation of approvals.
