Legislation has been passed in the House of Representatives to allow for funds from the Tourism Enhancement Fund, the Jamaica Civil Aviation Authority and the CHASE Fund to be placed in the Consolidated Fund.
The three bills were approved on Tuesday.
Finance Minister Audley Shaw, said the move fulfils the Government's objective to redirect the funds of these agencies to the Consolidated Fund on a permanent basis.
This is part of an initial public financial management reform measure.
Shaw announced the plan during his Budget presentation in March.
He also sought to assure the Lower House that the work of the three public bodies will not be affected.
