The Finance and Insurance Services Industry grew by 0.3 percent during the October to December quarter.
According to the Planning Institute of Jamaica (PIOJ) this was due mainly to increases in fees and commission income as well as foreign exchange gains.
Additionally, the share of non-performing loans to total loans continued to trend downwards in 2014.
It reached 4.8 per cent in September compared to 5.8 per cent in the previous year.
The PIOJ also says there was a decline in electricity usage last month.Total electricity generation decreased by 1.6 percent to 336.3 million kilowatt hours.
There was a 6 percent decline in total sales to 239.3 million kilowatt hours.
