The Bank of Jamaica (BOJ), is reporting that net remittance inflows to Jamaica as at February increased by half a million U.S. dollars compared to the same period last year.
The BOJ says this was reflective of an increase of 1.9 per cent in gross remittance inflows partially offset by an increase of 15.4 per cent in outflows.
The largest source market of remittances to Jamaica remained the US at 65.4 per cent.
The remainder came from the UK, followed by Canada and the Cayman Islands.
