New home for Broadcasting Commission

 
The Broadcasting Commission which currently pays J$15.4 million annually in rent is to get permanent headquarters.
   
Cabinet has approved the purchase of  a 95 million dollar, two storey property on Central Avenue in Kingston to house the Commission.     
   
Information Minister, Senator Sandrea Falconer, who made the disclosure at Wednesday's post Cabinet media briefing said the additional space will, among other things, allow the Commission to employ additional staff, such as media monitors.
   
The Broadcasting Commission presently operates from rented space on the fifth floor of  the VMBS building in New Kingston.
