Taxpayers filing Corporate Income Tax and Assets Tax Returns are now required to do so online via the Tax Administration Jamaica (TAJ) portal.
The measure, which came into effect on January 1, also mandates employers to submit their monthly statutory remittance payroll deductions electronically in this fifth phase of the mandatory e-filing stipulation.
TAJ on Thursday indicated that it has been providing these categories of taxpayers with support to meet the new requirement, through training session.
Amendments to the Revenue Administration Act empowers the TAJ Commissioner General to instruct persons to submit returns, as deemed necessary, in any state or manner, as directed.
